Asam Pedas Scallops

This Asam Pedas with Scallops recipe combines the tender sweetness of scallops with the bold and sour flavors of Asam Pedas, a traditional Malaysian dish. The Wahyu Brand Asam Pedas instant cooking paste makes it easy to create this delicious dish at home. 

Ingredients:
- 12 large scallops
- 2 tablespoons Wahyu Asam Pedas instant cooking paste
- 2 medium-sized onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- 40g of margerine
- 2 kaffir lime leaves
- Chilli and parsley for garnish
- Steamed rice for serving

Instructions:
1. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Add scallops and cook until they start to turn opaque, then put aside.
2. Add more butter to the pan then add onions and saute until fragrant.
3. Add Wahyu Asam Pedas paste with black pepper and stir-fry for 1 minute.
4. Pour in water. Bring to a simmer then add kaffir lime leaves.
5. Reduce heat to low and cook for 5-7 minutes.
6. Pour over cooked scallops and garnish with parsley and sliced chilli, serve hot with steamed rice.

Note: You can adjust the amount of Wahyu Asam Pedas paste to your desired level of spiciness and flavour.

Tips:
- Use fresh and high-quality scallops for the best flavor and texture.
- Add other ingredients like pineapple or bell peppers to enhance the flavour and texture.
